The first single from Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai, Unnoda Nadandhaa, sung by none other than Dhanush, was released yesterday and the song is being widely appreciated by everyone. A moved Soori, who plays the lead in the film, and is featured in the song, took to his social media handle to express his happiness working in a film, which has music by Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja.

He dropped a picture with the composer and wrote in Tamil, which roughly translates to,“It's due to my parents' good deeds and blessings that I had this great honour if being featured in a song composed by musician @ilaiyaraaja sir. My Heartfelt thanks to Vetrimaaran sir and lyricist Suga for giving me this opportunity. #ViduthalaiPart1 (sic).”

The composer had shared the single on his social media handle yesterday. Earlier, he had shared a promo of the song which included a glimpse of the recording session in which Dhanush and Vetri Maaran, both are present and Dhanush is seen rehearsing the lines.

Viduthalai is an adaptation of V Jeyamohan's novel Thunaivan and will be released in two parts. The film stars Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Bhavani Sre, Rajiv Menon and Chetan to name a few. The film, bankrolled by Elred Kumar under RS Infotainment banner, has cinematography by Velraj and editing by Ramar. Peter Hein has choreographed the stunt sequences. Though there was a buzz that the film is likely to revolve around forest brigand Veerappan, the team has rubbished the same as rumours. The film will be distributed by Red Giant Movies. We now hear that the digital rights of the film have been bagged by ZEE5 and the satellite rights have been acquired by Kalaignar TV.

Vetri Maaran's last feature film was Asuran starring Dhanush and Manju Warrier. The film went on to bag the National Award.
