Bollywood actress Vidya Balan came to Kolkata on October 14 and soaked in the spirit of Durga Puja festivity. Along with Dev, she inaugurates the pandal of Sree Bhumi Sporting Club in Lake Town in the evening. The actor and the actress – both dressed in traditional outfits – light the lamp at the pandal that is themed after Disneyland.
Dev and Vidya Balan reached the pandal around 8 pm – amid a huge crowd. After the inauguration, Vidya addressed the audience at the do. They were presented with silk scarves by the club official.
Vidya came to Kolkata in the morning of Mahalaya and offered a puja at the Kalighat temple. In a number of interviews, she admitted that Kolkata is one of her favorite cities where she comes back frequently. She started her career in Kolkata with a Bengali film, Bhalo Theko. She also visits Kalighat whenever she comes to the city of Joy. This time was no exception.
At the temple, Vidya looked like a Bengali woman in a pink saree. She put on a tilak on her forehead. She told the media that she came to Kolkata for some personal work.

There was a video that went viral on social media. It showed Vidya embracing a girl at an airport. The video added to the rumor.
Vidya told the media that the girl was the daughter of her sister. The girl's name is Ira. Vidya's sister has twins, one son and one daughter. The two kids occupy a large part of Vidya's life.
