Kotabommali PS pair Rahul Vijay and Shivani Rajashekar are coming together yet again for an out-and-out entertainer Vidya Vasula Aham. The film is a relationship drama directed by Manikanth Gelli, who made his debut with Sri Simha’s rom-com Thellavarithe Guruvaram in 2021. Lakshmi Navya Moturu and Ranjith Kumar Kodali are bankrolling the film under under Eternity Entertainment.
The teaser of the film was launched earlier this week, offering a peek into its mood and vibe. The story revolves around the relationship between an adamant youngster Vasu and an independent, urban girl Vidya and how their ego tussles create trouble in their marriage. While they share a warm bond before marriage and their early days as husband and wife, the duo experiences issues later.
A voiceover in the teaser suggests that falling in love is easy, but bearing your partner gets difficult with time. Vasu repeatedly tells how he’s not egoistic at all but the bubble doesn’t last long. He is in no mood for compromise in the marriage and gives importance to his ‘ego’. The situational humour, romance and the appealing screen presence of the leads create necessary intrigue.
The strength of Vidya Vasula Aham is quite obvious - it’s the playful chemistry between Rahul Vijay and Shivani. While Shivani is quite relatable as a modern-day woman, it’s Rahul who impresses with his unique dialogue delivery in contrast to his earlier outings. Vidya Vasula Aham promises to be a cute-little film with interesting takeaways about relationships and marriages.
The release date of the film will be announced shortly. Avasarala Srinivas, Abhinaya, Srinivas Reddy, Tanikella Bharani, Mounika Reddy, Ravi Varma Adduri, Kasi Viswanath, Roopa Lakshmi, Rajasri Nair and Viva Raghava are also part of the cast. Venkatesh Rowthu has written the story with Manikanth Gelli coming up with the screenplay. Kalyani Malik scores the music and Akhil Valluri is the cinematographer.
