Vidyut Jammwal on making his debut in production with IB71: I saw Sankalp’s Ghazi and knew he’s a genius

Vidyut Jammwal is making his production debut with IB71. The actor works with Ghazi director Sankalp Reddy. Vidyut spoke about making his debut with the film and with Sankalp at the recently held trailer launch of the movie.

The actor recalled how he has completed a decade in cinema and said, “I’ve been in the industry for the past 10 years. 11 ho gaye. Maine kaafi cheezein dekhi hai. There are many times when I felt that I want to be a part of certain kind of cinema. That is when I started thinking about all the actors and technicians that I admire.”

Vidyut was at home and he stumbled upon Ghazi, a movie which was helmed by Sankalp. “I was left wondering who this guy is but knew he’s a genius,” he recalled.

The actor, who made his powerful debut with Force and became the face of Commando, started his production house Action Hero Films to produce talent that gets lost in the crowd. Since he wondered why do certain people not appear beyond two films despite being talented, Vidyut then decided to take action and cast them in his movie.

“The thought behind starting the production house is also to work with those who are capable, who have a passion that others cannot see. I started Action Hero Films to work with them,” the actor-producer of IB71 added.

Many new faces appear in both IB71 and Vidyut’s upcoming film, Crakk. His casting process? He watches the members of his team work on another project and casts them for his produced films.

Vidyut was last seen in Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2. After Commando, he became the face of that franchise too.

Apart from IB71 and Crakk, Vidyut will also be seen in Sher Singh Rana. The movie is directed by Shri Narayan Singh and the release date for that film is yet to be announced.
