Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha's rom-com titled Kushi; first look and release date out

Liger star Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha are pairing up yet again after Mahanati for a full-fledged romance set in a Kashmir backdrop. Shiva Nirvana is directing the film bankrolled by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers. The film’s shoot, which commenced a few weeks ago, is progressing at a breakneck pace in Kashmir. Earlier today, the makers launched its first look, while announcing its title and release date as well.

Reportedly a romantic comedy, the film has been titled Kushi, named after the Pawan Kalyan-Bhumika Chawla starrer that released two decades ago. The romance has the same title across all South Indian languages and will have a release for Christmas on December 23. The first look poster of Kushi has Vijay smoking a cigarette, donning shades while his costume is tied to Samantha’s pink-coloured saree. The duo is seated amidst a surreal landscape.

Vijay and Samantha’s playful on-screen chemistry is indeed a delight to watch. Hesham Abdul Wahab’s music is another reason why you must take note of the film’s motion poster too, where the title song plays in the background. Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Murli Sharma, Lakshmi, Ali, Rohini, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar and Saranya too play crucial roles in the film.

Jayashree Lakshminarayanan is the film’s production designer while Prawin Pudi is the editor. Rajesh,Harman Kaur and Pallavi Singh are the costume designers with Naresh Babu P providing writing assistance to Shiva Nirvana. G Murali is the cinematographer. Shiva Nirvana has also penned the story, screenplay and dialogues.
