With his first Hindi film Liger releasing on August 25, actor Vijay Deverakonda has a lot going on at the moment. But that did not stop him from sticking up for another actor, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan.

During an interview with India Today, Vijay was asked about his stance on the whole 'boycott Aamir Khan-boycott Laal Singh Chaddha' issue, and the actor said that whatever the 'misunderstsanding' has caused this call-for-boycott one must understand that they are not 'affecting Aamir Khan' but thousands of families who were counting on the film to work for their 'livelihood'.

Vijay Deverakonda also said that in the making of a film, there are 2000-3000 people involved overall.

"When you decide to boycott a film, you are not only affecting Aamir Khan, you are affecting thousands of families who lose work and livelihoods," Vijay told India Today during an interview.

The actor pointed out that Aamir Khan is a superstar who pulls people to theatres and added that he isn't 'sure' of the 'misunderstanding' that has brought on the boycott but he urged people 'to please realise' that Aamir Khan is not the only one being affected by this, the boycott affects our economy, too.

"... please realize you are not affecting Aamir Khan alone but the economy. It is a much bigger picture," Viajy added.

Liger, which also features Ananya Panday in lead role and has two highly anticipated camoes by South superstar Ramka Krishnan and tghe legendary Mike Tyson, releases in theatres on August 25.
