Vijay Deverakonda says he's 'making memories' shooting with Mike Tyson for Liger

Vijay Deverakonda is giving it everything to ensure that his next, Liger, that releases across five languages, lives up to the hype. The film directed by Puri Jagannadh, where he pairs up with Ananya Pandey, is nearing completion. The team is currently shooting at Las Vegas in a schedule, where the combination sequences featuring Vijay Deverakonda and legendary boxer Mike Tyson are being filmed. The actor, all the way from Vegas, shared his experience of shooting with the sporting legend in a social media post.

"This man is love. Every moment I am making memories! And this one will forever be special.. #Liger Vs The Legend.. When I came face to face with Iron @MikeTyson," Vijay Deverakonda's tweet read. The post was accompanied with a picture of Vijay and Mike Tyson in the same frame, cheekily suggesting they have finally come face to face, while shooting for Liger. Telugu star, politician Nandamuri Balakrishna will be dubbing for Mike Tyson's portions in Telugu, as announced by the makers before.

Liger is jointly produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Charmme Kaur and Hiroo Yash Johar under Dharma Productions and Puri Connects. Ramya Krishna, Ronit Roy, Ali, Makarand Deshpande, Getup Srinu and Abdul Quadir Amin play supporting roles in the film. Liger has been extensively shot in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Goa and USA. The film has music by Tanishk Bagchi while Mani Sharma is composing the background score. Indian Idol contestant Shanmukha Priya has also sung for a number in Liger. The team is aiming for a summer 2022 release.
