It has been quite some time since Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda has scored a proper hit in his career. His last two films, The Family Star and Liger, ended as the biggest flops in his career. So, he took time off and signed a film titled Kingdom, with Gautam Tinnanuri, the director of Jersey.
Anirudh says Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom will be a mass hit
The action drama has been in the making for the last two and a half years and is finally up for release on July 31, 2025. The makers have expedited the promotions, and the post-production works are being rushed.
Kingdom has been produced by noted filmmaker Naga Vamsi. Speaking in an interview, he revealed that after watching the film, Anirudh, the music composer, called him and expressed his happiness over the film, stating that Kingdom will be a mass hit at the box office.
The noted producer also added that Anirudh is generally the first one to watch the film in the post-production stages, and whenever he signals that a film will be a hit, it ends up being a smash hit at the box office, and he did the same with their earlier production, Jersey, featuring Nani as the main lead.
Two songs that have been released have caught the imagination of one and all. The film has mostly been shot in Sri Lanka, and producer Naga Vamsi says that Anirudh’s background score has elevated the film to another level. Kingdom is a dark action drama that has Bhagyashree Bose as the female lead. This is the first time she has been roped in to romance Vijay Deverakonda.
Not many know that Kingdom is a reincarnation drama that has Vijay Deverakonda in a double role. Satyadev plays his brother, and the makers have established that by now through the promos. Gowtam Tinnanuri is known for his solid emotions, and by the looks of it, Kingdom also carries the same.
Vijay Deverakonda will be seen in the role of a cop for the first time in his career, who goes on a special mission to rescue his brother. How all this unfolds is the basic story of Kingdom. Netflix has grabbed the digital rights to Kingdom for a fancy price. Kingdom will be released in two parts. Stay tuned for more.
