Vijay Deverakonda's Kingdom postponed again, makers aiming THIS release date

Vijay Deverakonda needs to score a hit at any cost, as it has been years since his last successful film. The Pelli Choopulu actor has now teamed up with Jersey fame Gowtam Tinnanuri for a biggie titled Kingdom. The action drama was originally slated for release on July 4, 2025, grandly.

However, we have learned that the film has been postponed to a later date. A source close to the unit revealed to us that the film is currently undergoing reshoots. Kingdom is being produced by Naga Vamsi of DJ Tillu fame, and he has invested heavily in the project. 

After watching a rough cut of the film, he was reportedly not satisfied with a few sequences and has asked the director to reshoot them. This development has significantly altered the release plans.

Additionally, due to these delays, music composer Anirudh has also requested more time to complete the background score. All these factors have forced the makers to postpone the film. Reports suggest that the film will be out in the first week of August 2025, and an official announcement regarding the new release date will be made soon.

Vijay's fans are likely to be disappointed by this news, especially since the teaser and a song released earlier had significantly raised expectations. However, the makers are prioritizing quality over haste and are willing to delay the release to ensure a better final product.

Kingdom also stars Bhagyashree Bore of Mr. Bachchan fame, and her chemistry with Vijay is being widely appreciated. This marks her second film, and she has pinned a lot of hopes on making a strong comeback, especially after Mr. Bachchan ended up as a major flop.

A lot of money has been invested in Kingdom, and pressure is mounting on the makers to deliver a blockbuster. Let’s wait and see when the new release date will be finalized.
