Thalapathy Vijay's Pongal outing Varisu has been setting the cash registers ringing and despite the film entering the third week after release, it doesn't seem to be slowing down. To celebrate the success of the film, Varisu team recently threw a bash for the cast and crew. Vijay and Shaam had flown down from Chennai and pictures of the celebration where Vijay is seen feeding a cake to the film's director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju have been doing the rounds. Dropping a picture with Vijay, Vamshi and lyricist Vivek, Thaman, wrote, "What a Moment thanks dearest Anna @actorvijay Not Able to get Out of this Truest HIGH #MegaBlockbusterVarisu #VarisuCelebrations (sic)."
Amid the thick of action, what has not gone unnoticed is Vijay's look during the celebrations. The actor is seen sporting a new hairdo and has been growing a beard, which is said to be his look for the upcoming film helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Thalapathy67 is said to be an action entertainer just like the duo's earlier outing Master.
Speculations are rife among fans that Vijay is likely to play a gangster in the film, going by his look. There is also a buzz that the film is part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe and that the title announcement video will be out on January 26. The film's star cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Menon, Mysskin and Trisha is said to be playing the leading lady in the film. Mysskin has already canned a fight sequence with Vijay and was in all praise for the actor.
The shoot for the film has already begun and a short schedule is being canned in Kodaikanal which does not have Vijay's portions. After that the team will head to Kashmir to shoot a long schedule. Since Lokesh and Vijay's Master emerged as a huge success, a lot of riding on the film.
