Vijay meets Vishal, donates Rs 1 crore towards Nadigar Sangam building construction

Actor-politician Vijay has donated a sum of Rs 1 crore for the construction of Nadigar Sangam building. The actor met fellow actor Vishal and showed his support for the welfare of the artists and building construction. Actor Vishal took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and expressed his gratitude for the donation Vijay made.

Vijay donates to Nadigar Sangam

Nadigar Sangam, which is also called as The South Indian Artiste Association, has been in the works to construct a building for its members for about 10 years amid financial struggles. The current office-bearers, including Vishal, had promised the completion of construction. Several members of the film fraternity have come forward to help, including Kamal Haasan who recently donated Rs 1 crore.

In the latest, actor Vijay has also donated Rs one crore for the building construction. Revealing the same, Vishal penned a thank you note. He wrote, “Thank u means just two words but means a lot to a person wen he does it from his heart. Well, am talking about my favourite actor our very own #ThalapathiVijay brother for DONATING ONE CRORE towards our #SIAA #NadigarSangam building work. God bless u. Yes we always knew the building will be incomplete without your support and involvement. Now you have fuelled us to make it happen as soon as possible brother. #NandriNanba your style.”

Vijay’s upcoming line-up

Vijay, who was last seen in Leo, is currently working with filmmaker Venkat Prabhu in GOAT- Greatest of All Time. The film will feature the actor in two avatars, as per the posters released. With Prashanth, Sneha, Ajmal Ameer, and Prabhudheva part of the cast, a release date is yet to be mentioned. Besides, Vijay will also be seen doing one more film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, whose director is yet to be zeroed. The actor had recently floated his political party and is expected to take up a full-fledged political career. He had recently issued a statement criticising the Centre for the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
