Vijay Raghavendra box office trajectory is not the most awe inspiring, and yet, he remains one of the busiest actors in Kannada cinema, with at least 3-4 releases in a year. The actor often repeatedly collaborates with filmmakers, which, according to the buzz in industry circles is because they’ve figured out a winning formula. To get a good actor like Vijay on board, all they need to do is to stick to a certain recoverable budget.
Vijay, who was last seen in Rippan Swamy, directed by Malgudi Days maker Kishore Moodbidri, has just wound up his third collaboration with director Deviprasad Shetty. The duo has done two thrillers – Seetharam Benoy Case No 18 and Case of Kondana – and have now returned for another, the Second Case of Seetharam. This is a sequel to Seetharam Benoy Case No 18, and takes off after the events of the original film.

On October 15, the team officially announced the Second Case of Seetharam, along with its theatrical release date. The film will be in theatres on November 28. “There aren’t too many films in November yet. There’s director SuNi’s Gatha Vaibhava on the 14th, but besides that, it’s a pretty empty slate right now, all the way till the second week of December. Then it is jam-packed, with The Devil, 45 and Mark,” said Deviprasad, explaining his choice of release date.
In the Second Case of Seetharam, Vijay Raghavendra is pitted against Gopalkrishna Deshpande as the antagonist, while Usha Bhandary has a pivotal role.
