Post the chartbuster movie Master, the young talented director Lokesh Kanagaraj will be directing Vijay Sethupati again in the much-anticipated movie Vikram. The filmmakers have released a few film posters and fans are waiting for further updates and for the release of the Kamal Haasan starrer movie. According to the latest reports, the shoot of ‘Vikram’ has started with Vijay Sethupathi and Shivani in Karaikudi.

According to the reports, Shivani Narayanan is the newest addition to the Vikram cast and she is excited to be part of the Kamal Haasan starrer flick. She will be paired opposite Vijay Sethupathi in the saga and she has currently joined the team in Karaikudi for the shoot. The lengthy schedule of the upcoming flick has begun today and the director will be starting the shoot with a scene that features Vijay Sethupathi and Shivani. To top it all off, Kamal Haasan will also be a part of the Karaikudi schedule and he will play the role of a policeman. The whole film is expected to be completed in a single stretch and the team will be travelling across places in Karaikudi for the next month.

Mollywood megastar Fahad Faasil will also play an important role in the political thriller. He will join the cast once he completes shooting for Allu Arjun’s Pushpa. The makers of the film recently announced that the team will be joined by the eKannada actor Dhananjay. The team released a first look poster and introduced him as the character of Jolly Reddy.

Meanwhile, Vikram, which is helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj has music being scored by Anirudh. The film is being produced by Raaj Kamal Films International. The flick’s cinematography will be handled by Girish Gangadharan and editing by Philomin Raj. The team has confirmed that the film is in no way a sequel to the 1986 film of the same name, even though the film’s official title teaser used a remix version of the theme song from the 1986 saga.
