Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee Pannu's horror-comedy Annabelle Sethupathi gets an OTT release

Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee Pannu have teamed up for a horror-comedy titled Annabelle Sethupathi, which is all set for an OTT release. Yes, the actors have worked for the first time together and their first outing is set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from September 17, 2021. The streaming platform dropped a poster of the lead actors from the film with a hint of it being of the horror genre. 

Disney+ Hotstar VIP captioned the poster on Instagram as "@taapsee and @actorvijaysethupathi in the same movie? This feels less like a cast and more like a treasure chest. Streaming in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam from September 17 only on #DisneyPlushotstarMultiplex #AnnabelleSethupathiOnHotstar #AnnabelleRathore."

The film is titled Annabelle Rathore in Hindi Meanwhile, Taapsee dropped a hint about the premise of the film by stating, "Coz sometimes one life is not enough to see it all."

Annabelle Sethupathi was extensively shot in Rajasthan and also features Yogi Babu, Radikaa Sarathkumar and Rajendra Prasad in supporting roles.

The multilingual film is directed by Deepak Sundarrajan while Sudhan Sundaram and G Jayaram are the producers. Reports have it, both Vijay and Taapsee play double roles in the upcoming film. A few stills of the actors from the film made it to the Internet and became viral in no time. 

Meanwhile, Annabelle Sethupathi is the second film of Taapsee to release on OTT. The actor earlier featured in Haseen Dillruba which is currently streaming on Netflix.

The film is also Vijay's second OTT outing as he recently starred in Netflix's Tamil anthology Navarasa alongside Prakash Raj and Revathy. 

Annabelle Sethupathi was earlier titled Annabelle Subramaniam, the makers changed the title earlier this month before making the formal announcement about the OTT release.
