Vijay Sethupathi reveals the ‘only’ reason he said yes to Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan

Vijay Sethupathi is one of the most versatile and popular actors in the Tamil film industry. He has also made his mark in other languages like Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. He is known for his unconventional choices and brilliant performances.

Recently, Vijay Sethupathi revealed that he was so excited to work with the superstar that he did not even care about the money. For those who are unaware, Vijay Sethupathi openly admits of being a fanboy to SRK. He revealed he wouldn't miss it for the world if he had the chance to appear on screen with his idol. Vijay was quoted as saying by Pinkvilla: "I did Jawan only for Shah Rukh Khan sir; even if I didn't get a single penny, I would have still worked with him."

In Jawan, Vijay Sethupathi will play the antagonist while Shah Rukh Khan plays the protagonist. Regarding the movie and the cast that it has assembled, there is a great deal of expectation. Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, and Sanya Malhotra are just a handful of the ensemble cast members of Jawan. 

Jawan is a bilingual film directed by Atlee, who has previously worked with Vijay in films like Mersal and Bigil.

The makers of Jawan released its prevue a couple of days back and since then it has been the talk of the town. It received a resoundingly positive response from fans. Jawan, a Gauri Khan-produced film distributed by Red Chillies Entertainment, is slated for release on September 7, 2023.
