Vijay Varma has played tease with his latest Instagram story about new collaboration with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment. The actor, who has worked with them in projects like Mirzapur and Gully Boy, has left a major hint about the latter expanding into a franchise.

How did Vijay Varma hint at Gully Boy franchise?

While he did not make much clear, Vijay hid just enough from the special letter he received from Excel Entertainment. Vijay, who already plays a major role in Mirzapur franchise, is now moving to his next project. He shared a letter from Excel, which read, “We are excited to dive into the world of (hidden with Vijay’s finger, except the last letter y is clearly visible) with you. Here’s to (hidden with finger) journey ahead! Best wishes, Farhan and Riteish.” Among their production, the makers have been associated with Gully Boy and Fukrey. So, it looks like Vijay might be a part of either of them.

Can Gully Boy expand into a franchise?

Gully Boy (2019), starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, became a sensation in Mumbai. It showed the journey of local rappers’ fame. Coming from the streets of Bandra East, they became the country’s voice. Today, with even Hanumankind taking over the world, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the makers do plan to expand Gully Boy into a franchise.
