Months have passed since Vijay Varma (Bamfaad) and Tamannaah Bhatia's break-up rumours took the internet by frenzy but it looks like Lust Stories 2 fans have still not moved on. Vijay Varma, who has finally confirmed his new series with Hansal Mehta, was speculated to 'move on' from Tamannaah, courtesy his caption on an Instagram post. The actor wrote 'new beginnings' and fans instantly jumped the gun thinking he was ready to move on from her. Here's all that happened...
There was buzz about Vijay Varma working with Hansal Mehta. The actor finally confirmed that the rumours are indeed true. He shared a flower bouquet with the note, "Dear Vijay, Welcome on board! Here’s to a shoot filled with hard work, the pursuit of excellence, and some great memories. Lots of love, Hansal and Vikram," to confirm the upcoming series. But of course, fans were quick to jump the gun and assume otherwise, mainly thanks to the actor's caption.
Vijay Varma captioned the post as 'new beginnings' which led people to speculate that the actor was ready to move on in life from Tamannaah. He, on the other hand, was simply hinting at a new series after wrapping up Matka King.
Vijay Varma and Hansal Mehta have teamed up for a Netflix series. It also stars Anil Kapoor (Welcome) in the lead role and the drama revolves around the two rivals. The project had gone on floors recently and this is the first official announcement/confirmation from the makers since. Interestingly, Scam 1992 director Hansal Mehta's previous project Scoop was also a part of Netflix and it was well-received. While the story of Scoop revolved around crime journalist J. Dey's murder, the show with Vijay Varma and Anil Kapoor as the leads could be more fictional.
