AGS Entertainment on Tuesday unveiled the launch video of his upcoming project with Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay. Tentatively titled Thalapathy 68, the project went on the floors a few weeks ago following a customary puja.
The announcement of Thalapathy 68 had been postponed to ensure the focus remained on Vijay's recent hit, Leo, which was released in cinemas the previous week.
The video also revealed the entire cast and crew of Thalapathy 68, confirming numerous speculations. Director-writer Venkat Prabhu seems to be going for a nostalgic appeal with this movie as he has roped in some of the actors, who dominated the Tamil film industry during the 1990s and the early 2000s.

Prasanth is a yesteryear heartthrob and senior to Vijay in terms of their movie careers. He remained a force to reckon with throughout the 90s. And he will have been roped in for a supporting role in the movie. Prabhudeva, the multi-talented choreographer-turned-actor is also part of the cast. Thalapathy 68 is probably the first movie where Prabhudeva is playing a supporting role.
It's noteworthy that Prabhudeva has also collaborated with Vijay in the capacity of a film director. He directed Vijay in the 2007 blockbuster Pokkiri and the 2009 action drama Villu.
Thalapathy 68 will also reunite Vijay and Sneha after a long hiatus. The duo played the lead role in the 2003 comedy hit Vaseegara. In the upcoming movie, Meenakshi Chaudhary will play the female lead.
And it also stars Laila, Mohan, Jayaram, Ajmal Amir, Yogi Babu, VTV and Ganesh in the supporting roles.
Venkat's permanent collaborators Vaibhav, Premgi, Aravind Akash and Ajay Raj will also have key supporting roles in Thalapathy 68.
While Siddhartha Nuni will handle the camera, Venkat Raajen will take care of the editing and Dhilp Subbarayan will compose the stunt sequences.
Thalapathy 68 marks the maiden collaboration between Venkat and Vijay. The shooting is already in progress and Vijay has already completed the first shooting schedule.
