Vijay wraps up second schedule of Vamsi Paidipally's Thalapathy66

It looks like Thalapathy Vijay has wrapped up the second schedule of his upcoming film Thalapathy66, directed by Vamsi Paidipally. A video of Vijay at the Chennai airport shot last night has surfaced on the internet. The actor is seen wearing a cacsual blue shirt and is seen wearing a mask as the pandemic is not over yet. Fans of the actor, who managed to capture the video, have been sharing it widely. The Hyderabad schedule had begun earlier this month for which almost the entire star cast was present.

Thalapathy 66 has Rashmika Mandanna playing the leading lady. The film has an ensemble star cast including Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar, Jayasudha, Shaam, Yogi Babu, Srikanth, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha in supporting roles. In the meantime, we hear that Mehreen Pirzada has also been roped in for the film. Mehreen had earlier been part of Tamil films like Nenjil Thunivirundhal, NOTA and Pattas. However, there has been no official confirmation on the same. The film's first look is likely to be released on the occasion of Vijay's birthday on June 22. This is the first time that Vijay is teaming up with Vamsi.

Prakash Raj had recently shared a picture with Vijay from the set of Thalapathy66. He had captioned it, "Hai Chellam sssss. We are back #thalapathy66 (sic)." Thaman is scoring the music for the film and the composer called the opportunity, a dream come true. Thaman had stated in an interview that his heart had always been waiting to compose music for a Vijay film. This is the first time that Thaman is composing for the actor. The album for Thalapathy66 comprises six songs. 

The film is expected to hit screens next year for Pongal, revealed the makers. Interestingly, Vijay has not had a Pongal release since Bairavaa in 2017. Hence, fans of the actor are eagerly looking forward to the release.
