The much-awaited audio launch of Vijay's Varisu was held at a packed hall at the Nehru Stadium in Chennai last evening. Vijay fans turned up in droves and witnessed their favourite matinee idol live. What's interesting is that Vijay gave a flying kiss to his fans, just like in the song Ranjithame. Soon, Rashmika and choreographer Jani put up a live gig. While Ranjithame and Thee Thalapathy have already been released, the third song, Vaa Thalaivaa, was performed live by playback singer Shankar Mahadevan. The other songs in the album include Papa Papa, Jimikki and the theme songs.

Vijay addressed his fans later and thanked them for their constant support during his journey in films. The highlight of the event was a video selfie that Vijay took along with his fans. He later shared the same on his social media handle and captioned it, '#EnNenjilKudiyirukkum'. The video and the selfie have gone viral on social media and fans have been widely sharing the same. Many others, who took selfies with the actor also shared their excitement of having worked with the actor in Varisu.

Raju Jeyamohan, who hosted the show, along with VJ Ramya, wrote after the selfie, "I saw, touched and felt Thalapathy Love you thalaivaaaaaaaaa!!! A moment to cherish in my life! #EnNenjilKudiyirukkum #VarisuAudioLaunch (sic)."

Ganesh Venkatram, who is working with the actor in Varisu, wrote, "Only unconditional love & respect for #Vijay anna for the warmth and love he always gives others @actorvijay Today his speech was #ThalapathyVijay for life #Thalapathy #varisuaudiolaunch #thalapathyspeech (sic)."

The film, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, has an ensemble star cast which includes Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Shaam, Srikanth, Khushbu, Yogi Babu, Jayasudha, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha Shanmughanathan, Nandini Rai, Ganesh Venkatraman, Sriman, VT Ganesan, John Vijay, Bharath Reddy, Sanjana and others. This is the first time that Thaman is collaborating with Vijay for a film and he had called the opportunity a dream come true.
