​It seemed like almost all Vijay fans were glued to the television screens last evening as Vijay's Varisu audio launch was streamed on SUN TV as a New Year Special. And now the latest we hear that the film is being censored today. Varisu, helmed by Vamshi Paidipally and with Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady, is gearing up to hit screens for Pongal. The trailer is also about to be released soon. It is said that soon after the censors, the team will announce the trailer release date and the release date of the film itself.

Meanwhile the shoot for Vijay's next with director Lokesh Kanagaraj, Thalapathy67 has begun today.  According to reports, the shoot is taking place in Chennai, however, there has been no official update on the same from the team.

In the meantime, the audio launch which was streamed last evening aired some interesting moments, where co-stars opened up about working with Vijay. While the film's composer Thaman became emotional and said that life has come a full circle after 27 long years since he started his musical journey as a Vijay fan. This is the first collaboration of Thaman with Vijay. Prakash Raj said that Vijay's performance in the climax scene of the film will stun the audiences.

Vijay, too, had shared his excitement about teaming up with a number of stars, including Prakash Raj, with whom he has worked in many films. He also called his Kushi co-star Shaam, the life of the set who ensured that everyone had a good time. Vijay was all praise for his leading lady Rashmika Mandanna as well.

The actor also asked his fans to be their own competitor and that one shouldn't compare oneself with others. He also requested them to continue the blood donation activity and that it made them proud. He added that one should learn from blood to discriminate against anyone on the grounds of caste, religion, gender or any bias. His speech received a thunderous applause from the audience.
