Vikram Bhatt is known for helming films in different genres, ranging from action, romance, and comedy to horror and thriller. Over the past three decades, he has directed films that are now considered cult classics, including Ghulam, Raaz, Awara Paagal Deewana, and Deewane Huye Paagal. The censor board gave many of Bhatt's films, including Ghulam and Awara Paagal Deewana, an 'A' rating. Bhatt recently reflected on this and furthermore, he discussed his latest directorial, Tumko Meri Kasam.
On Cyrus Says, a podcast presented by Cyrus Broacha, Bhatt talked about his movie getting an 'A' certificate. He said when asked if his film Awara Paagal Deewana was certified for adults that it came out 22 years ago, and in the story, Akshay Kumar’s wife dates Aftab Shivdasani, while his wife falls for Suniel Shetty. Bhatt's reputation as an adventurous filmmaker led to the film's certification for adults. He recalled that perhaps the censor board mistook his endorsement for condoning infidelity.

In Awara Paagal Deewana, an enigmatic recluse named Gulab Khatri (Akshay Kumar) intrigues a henpecked husband (Atab Shivdasani) and his father-in-law (Paresh Rawal). However, the situation changes when they discover that Gulab Khatri, an enigmatic recluse, is actually a wanted criminal with a reward for his capture, leading them to become embroiled in a mafia feud.
Murderous crooks Vikrant (Rahul Devi) and Gulab Khatri despise each other and are brothers-in-law. The only thing keeping them from wreaking havoc on each other would be Vikrant's father, an underworld don (Om Puri) who keeps them in line. Thus, upon the elderly man's death, Vikrant promptly accuses Gulab of murder, causing the latter to escape to the United States. The Acharyas, residing next door, consistently obstruct Gulab's intentions to establish a new life in his new home. Because they take advantage of the bounty for his capture, they die faster.
Awara Paagal Deewana is available to stream on multiple OTT platforms including Prime Video, JioHotstar, ShemarooMe (OTTplay Premium), and Lionsgate Play (OTTplay Premium).
Meanwhile, during their conversation, Bhatt elaborated on the importance of a director's undivided attention on set. Question after question—some ridiculous—are thrown at them on this set, and he must remember everything.
In Tumko Meri Kasam, based on the life of Dr Ajay Murdia, the man behind Indira IVF, Bhatt is getting ready to release his film today. The filmmaker remarked, describing the film, that half of it is about the journey of starting the IVF clinic, and the second half revolves around Anupam Kher, who plays Ajay, trying to get acquitted for a crime he did not commit.
