After taking a break for quite some time, Vikram Chatterjee is ready to bounce back to the screen in Atanu Ghosh’s upcoming project Shesh Pata. Th actor was last seen in Arka Ganguly’s Khoj in 2017, following which he took a temporary break from the film industry. Now, fans will finally be able to witness the actor in a new avatar on the screen.

Director Atanu is a renowned name in the Bengali film industry. Having delivered multiple hits in the past, from Mayurakshi to Abby Sen, Atanu’s new venture Shesh Pata is bound to generate excitement among the fans. Revolving around the complications of debt, the movie has a catchy plot. With four individuals – Balmiki, Sounak, Deepa and Medha – at the crux, how these characters find themselves at crossroads, and fight for their dreams and desires, stung by pangs of conscience and searching for light at the end of the tunnel, forms the story.

Vikram Chatterjee has been roped in to play the role of Sounak, a middle-class man and the sole breadwinner of a family, tasked with the responsibility of meeting with their needs and requirements.

Calling it a challenging role, Vikram told  ETimes how he had to think twice before agreeing to the project, and is ready to give his hundred per cent. He considers himself fortunate to bag the role as Atanu Ghosh is one of the most sensible directors in the industry. Moreover, the movie would also give Vikram an opportunity to work with Prosenjit, and help him to learn from the stalwart.

Apart from Vikram, acclaimed artistes like Gargee Roy Chowdhury, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rayati Bhattacharya, have been cast in pivotal roles. Prosenjit will be seen essaying the role of Balmiki, a non-conformist once-popular-now-forgotten writer, around whom the three characters come into action. Produced by Firdausul Hasan and Prabal Halder from Friends Communication, the movie is scheduled to begin filming from September.
