Vikram director Lokesh Kanagaraj has taken a digital break and has gone off social media. The director made the announcement on his social media page and said that he will be back soon with update on his next project. He wrote, "Hey guys β¨ I'm taking a small break from all social media platforms... I'll be back soon with my next film's announcement π₯ Till then do take care all of you.. With love Lokesh Kanagaraj π€πΌπ€πΌ" (sic)"
Lokesh Kanagaraj is basking in the success of his recent release, Vikram, which has gone on to become one of the biggest hits of his career. The action-packed entertainer has Kamal Haasan playing the titular character and shares screen space with Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil. The film registered a grand opening and raked in the moolah across the globe by emerging as one of the biggest hits in Kamal Haasan's career as well, thus sending the cash registers ringing.
Suriya made a special appearance as Rolex in the film. The supporting cast included Chemban Vinod Jose, Narain, Gayathri Shankar, Kalidas Jayaram, Arjun Das, Harish Peradi, Vasanthi, Ilango Kumaravel, Santhanabharathi and Harish Uthaman to name a few. Music for the film was by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Girish Gangadharan and editing by Philom Raj. Vikram is now streaming on Disney + Hotstar. It has got the highest ever opening weekend viewership, subscription and watch time on the OTT platform.
In the meantime, Lokesh Kanagaraj is gearing up for his next with Vijay. The film is tentatively being referred to as Thalapathy. Though the director is yet to make an official announcement of the cast and crew, the buzz around the film has already been built. This will be the second time that Lokesh and Vijay will be teaming up for a film, after their super hit film, Master.
