Vikram Gokhale: Daughter squashes death reports, says he is ‘still critical’

Vikram Gokhale, veteran actor, is very much alive and is currently in a critical state, according to a tweet by Indian news agency ANI on Thursday morning. His daughter, too, has come forward and squashed reports of him being dead that had started to float all around the internet from Wednesday evening.

The veteran actor's daughter refuted the rumours about her father's death that started doing the rounds on Wednesday evening.

Speaking to the news agency aout her father’s health condition, Vikram Gokhale’s daughter told ANI that the seasoned actor is currently in a critical state and is on life support.

"Veteran Actor Vikram Gokhale is still critical and on life support, he has not passed away yet. Keep praying for him," confirms Vikram Gokhale's daughter," ANI tweeted on Thursday morning.

For the unversed, veteran actor Vikram Gokhale was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital in Pune following a health scare. In his decades-long career, Gokhale has worked in regional films as well as mainstream Hindi cinema.

Some of Vikram Gokhale’s noteworthy works include Agneepath, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Mission Mangal, Hichki, Aiyaari, Bang Bang!, De Dana Dan and Bhool Bhulaiyaa, among others.

Vikram Gokhale received the National Award for Best Actor in 2010 for his role in the Marathi film Anumati.
