Kamal Haasan’s Vikram has been a box office juggernaut since it hit theatres around the world on June 3. The movie has also had a solid grip on the Kerala box office, and has made over Rs. 30 crore.

As reported by box office tracking handles on Twitter, the Tamil action thriller has made close to Rs. 35 crore at the Kerala box office since its release. The movie has also made it to the list of extremely successful Kamal Haasan movies in the state, such as Apoorva Sagodharangal and Indian.

According to reports, the movie has also become the third highest grossing project of the year. The highest grossing films are Mammootty’s Bheeshma Parvam and Yash’s pan-Indian biggie, KGF: Chapter 2 respectively.

Vikram has been setting a number of records at the Kerala box office, becoming the first Tamil movie to cross the Rs. 30 crore mark in the neighbouring state. The movie has also become the 12th highest grossing movie in the state, going past Amar Akbar Anthony and Dulquer Salmaan’s Kurup.

Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Vikram also stars Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi, along with Chemban Vinod Jose, Narain, Kalidas Jayaram, Santhana Bharathi, Elango Kumaravel, Gayathrie Shankar, Ramesh Thilak and Maya S. Krishnan among others.

“Though the fast-paced screenplay doesn't allow you to think much about connections between a few characters and sequences, the run time of close to three hours starts bothering you in the pre-climax episode.” reads a part of the movie’s review on OTTplay.

Bankrolled by Raaj Kamal Films International and with music from Anirudh Ravichander, the movie has already crossed the Rs. 300 crore mark at the global box office. Vikram, which has Kamal Haasan in an action avatar, is now available in theatres near you.
