It looks like the team of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's upcoming film, Indian 2 is no leaving no stone unturned to wrap up the portions of the film at the earliest. During a recent interaction with the media after a meeting with the Minister of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Tamil Nadu and Chennai Mayor Priya Rajan, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan said that the Indian 2 team was shooting for the film day and night. But he chose to come for the event as it was important to document the growth of an able leader like Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin. Kamal Haasan had inaugurated a photo exhibition that captured MK Stalin's rise as a politician and Dravidian leader.

In the meantime, we hear that the film will have seven villains, including that of Samuthirakani. The star cast includes Kajal Aggarwal, Gulshan Grover, Siddharth, Nedumudi Venu, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simhaa, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Vivekh, Guru Somasundaram, Vennela Kishore , George Maryan to name a few.

The shoot is currently happening in Panaiyur. After the portions, the team is likely to head to Dhanushkodi for the next schedule. Though there was a  buzz that late comedian's Vivekh's portions will be removed from the film, it looks like the team has no such plans and thus the audiecne will have one more opportunity to watch him on screen. Kamal Haasan will be reprising his iconic vigilante character Senapathy in the film. The film's leading lady Kajal Aggarwal had recently joined the sets of the film after her maternity break. She had even undergone horse riding training for her character.

While the music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander, editing is by Sreekar Prasad and cinematography is by Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman. Though the shoot began in 2020, a fatal accident and the pandemic-induced lockdown delayed the plans.
