Cobra is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu and has music by AR Rahman

Actor Vikram recently had a health scare when he was rushed to the hospital after he developed some discomfort in his chest. Though reports stated that the actor had a heart attack, an official bulletin from the hospital authorities clarified that he was admitted in the hospital with complaints of chest discomfort. It also stated that he did not have cardiac arrest and that was clinically stable and would be discharged from the hospital very soon.
The audio launch of his upcoming film, Cobra, is slated to release tomorrow. Meanwhile, the film's director Ajay Gnanamuthu stated that the launch will be held as planned and that Vikram will be attending the event. Ahead of the audio release, the tracklist for the film was launched recently. Music for the film is by AR Rahman and the album comprises five songs- Thumbi Thullal (sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Nakul Abhyankar with lyrics by Vivek and Jithin Raj), Adheera (sung by Bagu Mazan with lyrics by Pa Vijay), Uyir Urugudhey (sung by AR Rahman with lyrics by Thamarai), Tharangini (sung by Sarthak Kalyani with lyrics by Thamarai) and Yele Ilanchingamey (sung by Rakshita Suresh with lyrics by Pa Vijay).
The star cast for the film includes Srinidhi Shetty playing the leading lady, along with Mamukoya, Babu Antony, KS Ravikumar, Padmapriya Janakiraman, Kaniha, Miya George, Mrinalini Ravi, Roshan Mathew, Sarjano Khalid, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Poovaiyar and Mohammad Ali Baig. The film will also mark the acting debut of former cricketer Irfan Pathan. The film, which is all set to hit screens on August 11, is being distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin.
