Hrithik Roshan was immersed in the universe of his next action crime film, Vikram Vedha, according to Gayatri, which allowed the crew to escape feeling the weight of his stardom. Gayatri, one half of the movie pair Pushkar-Gayatri, is co-directing the film, which is a remake of R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi's Tamil blockbuster of the same name. In the Hindi adaptation, Roshan plays Vedha, a mobster, while Saif Ali Khan plays Vikram, a cop.

Gayatri stated to PTI that they are ultimately simply trying to tell a tale. Hrithik is a fantastic performer who is completely dedicated, engaged, and invested in the script. His stardom, on the other hand, never overwhelmed the plot or took over the movie.

The filmmaker was addressing the crowd on the sidelines of the 22nd edition of the IIFA Weekend and Awards, where she announced that her Tamil Prime Video series Suzhal: The Vortex will be released on June 17, 2022.

Vikram Vedha is based on the Indian folktale Vikram aur Betaal and follows the narrative of Vikram (Khan), a tough cop who sets out to track down and murder an equally tough thug (Roshan).

According to Gayatri, the film's team considers themselves fortunate to have landed Roshan and Khan on board. She stated that the principal actors' genuine affinity aided the team in having a seamless shoot free of ego confrontations.

She continued, saying that Hrithik is very meticulous about his characters and puts a lot of effort into them. It's a different Hrithik in the way he's played this role in the film. Saif is also fantastic in the film, and they consider ourselves fortunate to have landed this cast. Both the actors are very different in terms of personality and got along swimmingly. One would expect some friction between the two actors, but that wasn't the case here. They have a great deal of regard for one another, and that shows in their work.

Gulshan Kumar, T-Series Films, and Reliance Entertainment are producing Vikram Vedha in conjunction with Friday Filmworks and YNOT Studios Production. The film, which is produced by S Sashikanth and Bhushan Kumar, is set to hit theatres in September of this year.

Vikram Vedha is set to hit theatres at a time when the term "pan-India" films are becoming popular. Gayatri, who has directed films such as Oram Po (2007) and Va, doesn't comprehend how pan-India films can be engineered.

Gayatri added that one can't engineer it, so one can't do it. They can advertise it as pan-India, but they can't call it a pan-India film until people see it. It can be dubbed in several languages, but the audience must watch it. Thus, there was no pressure from actors or producers to make it a pan-India production. All they have to do now is make a decent film.
