Vikram Vedha: Hrithik Roshan unveils Saif Ali Khan's first look as a fierce cop, pens a sweet note

After Vedha, it's time to meet Vikram, from the forthcoming film, Vikram Vedha. Hrithik Roshan took to his social media pages and unveiled the first look of Saif Ali Khan from the film. The actor plays the role of a strict and no-nonsense cop in the film written and directed by Pushkar—Gayathri. In the first look, Saif dons a stylish look and poses with intensity while showing off as a cop.

Hrithik shared the photo with a sweet caption stating, "Working with one of the finest actors and a colleague I have admired for years is going to be an experience I’m going to cherish. Can’t wait!"

The film follows the story of Vikram, a police inspector who sets out to track down and kill Vedha, a thug, and is inspired by the Indian folktale Baital Pachisi. Following his voluntary surrender, Vedha gives Vikram three stories that alter his perspective on virtue and evil.

Vikram Vedha is the Hindi remake of the Tamil film of the same name, released in 2017. The original film features Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi, Shraddha Srinath, Kathir, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead roles, while Prem, Achyuth Kumar, Hareesh Peradi, and Vivek Prasanna play supporting roles.

Meanwhile, in the Hindi film, Radhika Apte will be seen playing the role of Vikram's wife and lawyer, originally played by Shraddha Srinath.

Earlier, while talking about roping in Saif and Hrithik for the Vikram Vedha remake, Pushkar-Gayatri said in a statement that they are ecstatic to be collaborating with Hrithik and Saif, two outstanding actors. They intend to present an intense and thrilling film with the help of a fantastic team.

Producing the film alongside Friday Filmworks and YNOT Studios, T-Series and Reliance Entertainment are producing the film. On September 30, 2022, it will be released worldwide.
