Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule is unstoppable at the box office. However, filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane has now expressed his disappointment as the film is dominating all the screens and leaving the Golden Globe-nominated film All We Imagine As Light with no-shows. Taking to social media, the filmmaker expressed his disappointment.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Vikramaditya Motwane shared his views after congratulating Payal Kapadia for securing two nominations at the Golden Lobe Awards 2025. He then also mentioned how disappointed he is that her film is off the big screen and compared it to Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 pointing out how it continues to enjoy multiple daily shows. He also shared a screenshot of multiple screenings of Pushpa 2.
Sharing the screenshot, Motwane wrote, “And yet, Payal’s incredible success will mean f**k all to us because we will throw her film out, not let it breathe or find an audience, and will have 36 shows a day of one film in a single multiplex. Congratulations. We deserve this (sic)."
Meanwhile, All We Imagine As Light has created history as Payal Kapadia becomes the first Indian director to get nominated for Best Director at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards. The film features Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam, and Hridhu Haroon and has also grabbed a nomination for Best Motion Picture for a Non-English Language. The narrative of the film revolves around two nurses from Kerala navigating life and love in Mumbai along with their friend and cook Parvaty.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is directed by Sukumar and stars Allu Arjun, Fahaad Faasil, and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The film has earned Rs. 645.95 crore in India and grossed over Rs. 950 crore worldwide.
