The much-awaited first look and title of Karthik Subbaraj's movie, which has Vikram and Dhruv Vikram playing lead roles in it, has been unveiled by the makers on Friday evening. Staying true to the speculation which did the rounds, the title for the gangster flick is Mahaan. The first look poster has the actor sporting an infectious smile, stylish goggles and salt-and-pepper hairstyle, riding a Bullet motorcycle. Simran and Simha among others play pivotal roles in the project which has music by Santhosh Narayanan and cinematography by Shreyaas Krishna. The team also released a poster reel of one-minute duration, in which the actor's fans get to see a glimpse of his stylish avatar. Santhosh's music which has gripping beats, thanks to the use of parai and other folk instruments, is another attraction of the poster reel.

Produced by SS Lalit Kumar under the banner of Seven Screen Studio, Mahaan which was tentatively titled Chiyaan60, has Dinesh Subbarayan choreographing stunt sequences and editing by Vivek Harshan. The film, which marks Vikram's 60th project, has Vani Bhojan and Sananth, too, essaying important roles in it. According to sources, the story which revolves around the theme, revenge, touches upon a father-son relationship as well. Like the director's previous projects, this poster also comes with the tagline 'A Karthik Subbaraj Padam'. Fans of Vikram, Santhosh and Karthik have been celebrating the first look and poster reel of Mahaan on social media from the time of its announcement. 

Vikram, who has shared screen presence with Simran in Mahaan, will next be seen along with her in Gautham Menon's upcoming film Dhruva Natchathiram as well. His big budget action film Cobra is currently in its last leg of production in Kolkata and is expected to wrap up in a few days. There are reports of the actor teaming up with Pa Ranjith next, while Dhruv is likely to start the film with Mari Selvaraj.
