Vikrant Massey-Kriti Kharbanda’s 14 Phere to release on Zee5 on THIS date

Vikrant Massey and Kriti Kharbanda starrer upcoming film 14 Phere is all set to release digitally. The film is the latest to join the bandwagon of direct-to-OTT releases after Sherni, Haseen Dillruba among others that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The film is slated to release on Zee5 on July 23. The movie, which is expected to be a social comedy, will have Vikrant play the role of Sanjay, while Kriti will be seen as Aditi.

The latest poster from 14 Phere gives a romantic vibe between Sanjay and Aditi, thus hinting at a possible romantic angle to their story. In the poster, Kriti is seen in a Banarasi saree while Vikrant dons a cream kurta.

Directed by Devanshu Singh, the film also stars Gauahar Khan, Yamini Das and Vineet Kumar in pivotal roles. Vikrant had spoken about the film earlier and said in a statement, “14 Phere is made for the Indian heartland filled with drama, comedy, quirkiness and a lot more. It will definitely be a great watch for families. It is highly relatable.”

Kriti, on the other hand, feels Aditi has become a part of her personality ‘in more ways than one’. “Imagine the drama and chaos of a typical Indian wedding, and then multiply that by two!,” she said while assuring that the viewers are going to be up for a joyride.

14 Phere had begun shooting in November 2020, in the midst of the partial lockdown. The film, which was shot in Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur and Lucknow, was wrapped up by January 2021.

Vikrant was recently seen in Haseen Dillruba, which premiered on Netflix and opened to mixed reviews. However, the actor’s performance was much appreciated.
