The makers of Kiccha Sudeep’s upcoming fantasy-action-drama, Vikrant Rona, are not sticking to the promotional tour map they’d planned long ago, for reasons best known to them. We are not complaining, because that also meant that they released two elements – the Gadangg Rakkamma song and the film’s trailer – well ahead of schedule, which, the whole world has been lapping up. Gadangg Rakkamma is the hot new song for reels and the trailer has everyone raving about it. Buoyed by this, the team of the film is now ready with the next song.

This time around, they are bringing out the Lullaby song, written by director Anup Bhandari, composed by Ajaneesh B Loknath and sung by Vijay Prakash. Starting July 2, they will release the songs every day till July 6 at 5.02 pm in Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi and Tamil, respectively. A little birdie tells us that the song is one of the most pivotal elements of the narrative, as it captures the bond between Vikrant Rona (Sudeep) and his daughter.

In fact, although the trailer gave the impression that the film is going to be quite action-packed, the source adds that that is not the case. Vikrant Rona is apparently quite an emotional drama that draws heavily on the father-daughter relationship. The investigation into the mysterious disappearances of people in the place that the film is set in is only a part of the narrative.

Vikrant Rona, which is gearing up for its date with audiences on July 28 in 3D, will release in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. The English version will be released at a later date. It is said that although the team had earlier planned to release songs like Hey Fakira, Gumma Banda Gumma and Chikki Bombe also before the film comes to theatres, that may not happen, given that after Lullaby, the team has just about 20-odd days for the rest of the promotions.
