The actor responded to the criticism he has been getting over his appearance in Globetrotter at the official Vilayath Buddha trailer release event in Kochi.

The Empuraan star stressed that since the audience raised him, they have the right to criticize him. He stated, "I will keep trying to do my best for every film that I commit to," and he promised to share more information about the film at today's Hyderabad Globetrotter launch event.
In response to a question concerning the similarities between Vilayath Buddha and the Allu Arjun film Pushpa, Prithviraj stated that the Telugu movie had not yet been released at the time the Malayalam film was conceived. "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the production of Vilayath Buddha concluded after both ther parts of Pushpa released," he said. The actor went on to say that while the teaser or trailer may resemble Pushpa for people who are not familiar with the novel, Vilayath Buddha is an original story that merits recognition.

On November 7, the first character poster about the next SS Rajamouli directorial, which is now known as Globetrotter, was released. Prithviraj Sukumaran's first look poster as Kumbha depicted him as a wheelchair-bound antagonist with a menacing appearance. This has undoubtedly caused many fans to remember Suriya from the Tamil movie 24, leading them to compare the two looks. Additionally, the poster resembled Spider-Man's Doctor Octopus.
