Village Cooking Channel thanks Vikram team for including them in the film

Kamal Haasan's latest offering Vikram has been receiving a rousing reception from critics and audience alike. The film has been running to packed houses and has received one of the biggest openings for a Kamal Haasan film. The team had roped in the popular YouTube cooking channel, Village Cooking Channel in the film. The channel appears in a wedding sequence. And now the team has taken to their social media handle to thank the team of Vikram for including them in the film.

Subramaniam Velusamy, one of the members of the channel, wrote on his social media page, "First Time in Our Life! Thank you, @Dir_Lokesh Anna, @ikamalhaasan sir, @VijaySethuOffl Anna, @RKFI, and our lovable subscribers!"

The team dropped a video to share their excitement. "We watched Vikram in theatres and we must say that it is a mass film. On Village Cooking Channel, we make videos and share them on YouTube and we would get comments for our shows. We would read them, take your feedback and would get encouraged by those comments. But, we have never noticed the happiness of people watching our videosin person. Today, for the first time ever in our life, we saw that in Vikram. We are part of the film and while watching the film in the theatre, we couldn't hear a single dialogue of ours because the movie hall was filled with the noise of whistles and claps. We were exhilirated."

Vikram, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, brings together Kamal Haasan, Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi for the first time on screen. The film also has a special appearance by Suriya. Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander. The limited-edition Vikram NFTs were launched at the Cannes Film Festival, for which Kamal Haasan himself was present. The film hit screens on June 3 and is expected to drop on Disney + Hotstar once its completes the four-week run at the theatres.

Interestingly, Vikram was also the title of a 1986 action-adventure film directed by Rajasekhar, which also starred Kamal Haasan in the lead.
