Ahead of the release of Nivin Pauly's heist comedy Ramachandra Boss & Co, the film’s team had got together to unveil its trailer in Kochi. It wasn’t its lead actor Nivin Pauly, but Vinay Forrt who seems to have stolen the show – or at least become the talk of the town after the event.

Among those who attended the event, Vinay’s new look – which had him sport a Charlie Chaplinesque moustache, albeit a bushy one, sparked a meme fest, with many sharing the pic along with some creative posters that seems to have done wonders for the film that wasn’t heavily marketed as some of its other counterparts including Dulquer Salmaan’s King of Kotha.

Vinay's new appearance is being compared to the looks of comedy characters done by artistes such as Jagathy, Vijayaraghavan, Kuthiravattom Pappu and Dileep in popular movies. The fan pages of Nivin Pauly and actors like Aju Varghese also shared some hilarious memes that has been flooding the social media since Monday evening.

At the event, Vinay said he is sporting the new get-up for his film with director Maju, who had previously helmed Appan. The actor also said that he requested the director's permission to come to the promotions of Ramachandra Boss & Co with a different look but was denied.

Ramachandra Boss & Co is Vinay’s next release. On the heist comedy, Vinay said, "I think Ramachandra Boss & Co is a perfect movie to watch for a family in theatres this Onam. The film has all the elements required for a complete entertainment package. I would always choose a comedy film during Onam rather than an action film. This film has a lot of hilarious scenes and I don't know how much of it was shown in the trailer."

The film will hit theatres on August 25 along with Shane Nigam’s RDX and Dulquer’s King of Kotha. Along with Nivin and Vinay, the film also stars Jaffer Idukki, Vijilesh, Nassar and Ganapathi in prominent roles. Aarsha Chandini Baiju will be Nivin’s pair in Ramachandra Boss & Co, which also has Mamitha Baiju.
