Vineet Kumar Singh wishes to take Irrfan Khan's legacy forward - Here's how

Irrfan Khan has left a big legacy behind with his films and while the responsibility of taking it forward has naturally fallen upon the late actor's son Babil Khan, there's another actor who believes that it is the kind of movies he might excel at. That actor is Vineet Kumar Singh. Yes, the Mukkabaaz actor believes that he might just be able to recreate magic if a film like Piku or Hindi Medium comes his way. Vineet Kumar Singh wants to take Irrfan Khan's legacy forward

While expressing his desire to do a movie like Hera Pheri or Dhamaal, Vineet Kumar Singh also feels that he might be able to take Irrfan Khan's legacy forward. When talking to Jagran, Vineet shared, "I would like to do jo film Irfan (Khan) bhai ne ki, Hindi Medium or something like that. I would love to do Piku, I would love to do so many films like that. Yeh side mujhe abhi as an actor explore karne ka mauka hi nahi mila hai."

Vineet Kumar Singh seeks comic roles

Often seen as a serious and intimate actor, Vineet Kumar Singh assures that he has a comic side to him just waiting to be explored. This he traces back to growing up in a joint family in India where unintentional comedy was almost routine given the family circumstances. Although expressing his desire for such roles, he also expressed disappointment that Mukkabaaz (2017) did not perform as expected. This is because Vineet worked hard on the movie, to the extent that he trained for 7 hours, sometimes four times a day. He pinned his expectations from the movie but it ended up being a lesson for him instead.

Vineet Kumar Singh's most recent projects include Match Fixing and Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava (yet to be released in theatres). The actor, who has been a part of Gangs of Wasseypur, Bombay Talkies, Ugly, and Mukkabaaz, also has Jaat and Superboys of Malegaon in the pipeline.
