If it wasn’t for the pandemic, the team of Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Hridayam would have wrapped up the shoot of the much-anticipated movie by April 2020 and had released the movie during last year’s Onam. While both those plans fell through, one thing that has not changed is the makers’ conviction to release the film in theatres.

Two days ago, Vineeth had shared that they had finally finished shooting for the movie, which has Pranav Mohanlal, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Darshana Rajendran in the lead. Pranav was part of the final day of the shoot.

In a social media post, Vineeth said that it has been a spectacular journey and that the plan is to bring the movies to the audience soon. “The dream has always been a theatrical release and we are still holding on to it,” he wrote.

Earlier, this month, the makers had also released the first look poster of the characters played by Pranav, Kalyani and Darshana. Pranav’s photo holding a camera, drew parallels between Mohanlal’s similar pose from the evergreen Priyadarshan movie, Chithram.

That wasn’t the only surprise the team had in store this July. Vineeth had also announced that through Hridayam, a music label would be bringing back audio cassettes. Hridayam has 15 tracks, which are composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab, and features vocals of KS Chithra, Darshana, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Vineeth, Divya Vineeth, Job Kurian, Arvind Vengopal, Srinivas and Unni Menon apart from music by an ensemble from Istanbul, Turkey.

Hridayam will mark Vineeth’s fifth directorial after Malarvaadi Arts Club, Thattathin Marayathu, Thira and Jacobinte Swargarajyam.
