Viral Video: Captain Miller star Dhanush, sons visits Tirupati temple, tonsure their heads

Amid his busy shooting schedule for Arun Matheswaran's highly anticipated film Captain Miller, Tamil superstar Dhanush took a break to embark on a spiritual journey with his two sons, Yatra and Linga. The actor visited Tirupati temple in Andhra Pradesh, where they participated in the customary ritual of tonsuring their heads as an offering to the deity. Pictures and videos capturing the actor's visit and their newly tonsured heads have quickly spread across social media platforms.

Dhanush was also accompanied by his parents Kasthuri Raja and Vijayalakshmi on this pilgrimage trip.

The tonsured look sported by Dhanush holds significance in relation to his current movie project. The actor had grown long hair for his role in the period drama, in which he plays the leader of a militia group set against the backdrop of colonial India. While it remains unclear whether the tonsuring signifies the completion of his shooting for the film, fans speculate that this could be a transition in his appearance for future projects.

It's worth noting that Dhanush recently released the title announcement teaser for his upcoming Hindi movie with director Anand L Rai. The film has been titled Tere Ishk Mein and is said to belong to "the world of Raanjhanaa." In the teaser, Dhanush is seen running through the streets, his long hair blowing in the wind, leaving viewers curious about whether he will adopt a new look or wait for his hair to grow back before commencing shooting.

Captain Miller is written and directed by Arun Matheswaran. Earlier, the filmmakers released the first look of the movie showing Dhanuh's character wielding a machine gun as he seems in a deeply pensive mood in the middle of a battleground. The film is getting ready to hit the screens this year. According to reports, the filmmakers have plans to release it in cinemas during the Christmas holiday. However, a confirmation on the same is awaited. 

Besides Dhanush and Shivarajkumar, the movie also Sundeep Kishan, Priyanka Arulmohan, Nivedhithaa Sathish, Edward Sonnenblick, and John Kokken.
