We know that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor – the famous Bollywood celebrity couple, attended the Ram Temple consecration ceremony today. For the ceremony, Alia Bhatt chose to adorn a teal-coloured silk saree, expressing her reverence to Lord Rama in a distinctive and personal manner. Ranbir opted for a full-sleeved white kurta paired with a dhoti-style bottom, complementing the ensemble with an intricately embroidered shawl. While their presence at the auspicious ceremony is loved by their fans, the latest development showed that the safety of the couple was mildly hampered at the venue.

Ayodhya – The holy land of Hindus

This afternoon witnessed the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi presiding over the religious ceremonies. Subsequently, the shrine will be open to the public starting tomorrow. Among the extensive list of approximately 8,000 invitees, a select group of 506 A-listers, comprising prominent politicians, leading industrialists, top film stars, sportspersons, diplomats, judges, and high priests, were in attendance. In honour of this significant occasion, the Centre granted a half-day off to all government employees, including those in Public Sector Banks, and several states have also declared a public holiday.

The consecration ceremony marks the completion of the initial phase of the temple's construction, made possible by a 2019 Supreme Court judgment on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit. The Hindu litigants contended that the Babri Mosque was erected at the site of a temple, symbolizing the birthplace of Lord Ram. In 1992, the 16th-century mosque was demolished by "kar sevaks."
