Speculations regarding whether the upcoming film Virata Parvam, starring Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi, getting an OTT release, have finally been put to rest. Director Venu Udugula himself has reportedly confirmed that the film will have a theatrical release.

As per a report in Pinkvilla , the director had confirmed that the film would first be released in theatres before it made its way onto the digital platform. The makers of the period drama are also working on the film’s new poster to officially announce its release date.

The film, which was initially intended to be released in April, had hit several snags in its release, including those brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The film, which had gone on floors in 2019, had completed it’s shoot recently.

Virata Parvam is set in the backdrop of the Naxalite movement that took place in the 1990s. The film is touted to be a love story, which also includes the elements of politics, communistic ideologies and action. Rana and Sai will essay the role of the two main leads.

In addition to them, the film also features Naveen Chandra, Priyamani, Nivetha Pethuraj, Nandita Das, Zareena Wahab and Sai Chand.

D. Suresh Babu and Sudhakar Cherukuri are producers of the upcoming film. They are producing it under the banners of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas and Suresh Productions. The film’s soundtrack is composed by Suresh Bobbili.
