Virata Parvam release date: When and where to watch Rana, Sai Pallavi’s drama directed by Venu Udugula

Rana Daggubati’s fans have some reason to rejoice after a long wait. Virata Parvam was a film that commenced right in 2019 and took a long time to wrap its shoot. There were even rumours of a direct release on Netflix at a point of time. Putting all such rumours to rest, the makers have announced recently that the action-romance would hit theatres on July 1. Sai Pallavi plays the female lead in this action romance bankrolled by Sudhakar Cherukuri under Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas in collaboration with Suresh Productions.

The film’s terrific lineup comprises many names including Priyamani, Nanditha Das, Naveen Chandra, Zareena Wahab, Eswari Rao, Sai Chand, Benarji, Nagineedu, Rahul Ramakrishna, Devi Prasad, Anand Ravi, Anand Chakrapani. The story revolves around a naxal warrior Ravanna who also happens to be a poet with the pen name Aranya. Sai Pallavi is cast as his love interest Vennela. This is also Sai Pallavi’s second film with actor Sai Chand after Fidaa; they are cast as daughter and father in both the films.

The makers are happy with the responses received from audiences for the teaser, single and other promos. The team plans to kickstart its promotional campaign shortly. The story of Virata Parvam is inspired from true events of 1990s. Dani Sanchez Lopez and Divakar Mani are the cinematographers of the film, while Suresh Bobbili scores the music. Virata Parvam is edited by Sreekar Prasad and has Sri Nagendra as its production designer. Stephen Richard, Peter Hein handle action choreography and Raju Sundaram takes care of the dance moves.

Netflix has the film’s post theatrical streaming rights. Virata Parvam is expected to premiere on OTT in the last week of July or early August.
