The trailer of Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi’s action romance Virata Parvam, directed by Venu Udugula, has released to an emphatic response from crowds and the film industry alike. However, the trailer launch event, to be held in Kurnool, was forced to be called off due to heavy rains few minutes into its commencement.

While the trailer launch initially faced disruption due to electricity issues and there was tension at the venue, later heavy rains meant that the event couldn’t go on as planned. However, in a heartwarming gesture, the film’s lead actors Rana Daggubati, Sai Pallavi, Naveen Chandra and others addressed the crowd amidst the rains and formally conveyed their apologies.

Rana Daggubati’s chivalry was on display at the event where he was holding an umbrella for Sai Pallavi as she was addressing the crowd. It’s very rare that a promotional event for any film was postponed due to rain or other issues in the recent past, but the efforts of the team to pacify the huge audience were indeed appreciable.

Meanwhile with Virata Parvam’s trailer, everyone was in praise of the gripping treatment of a hard-hitting subject and the intense performances of its ensemble cast, also comprising names like Priyamani, Nanditha Das, Zareena Wahab, Eswari Rao, Sai Chand, Benarji, Nagineedu, Rahul Ramakrishna, Devi Prasad, Anand Ravi, Anand Chakrapani.

Virata Parvam, cinematographed by Divakar Mani and Dani Sanchez Lopez, is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri and presented by Suresh Babu under Sree Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas and Suresh Productions. The film, to stream on Netflix post the release, hits theatres on June 17.
