Viruman: Karthi and Adithi Shankar to kick off shoot in Theni

The upcoming Karthi starrer Viruman stirred a lot of anticipation since the date of its announcement and the casting of director Shankar’s daughter, Adithi Shankar opposite the ‘Paiyya’ star has only upped the excitement. According to the latest reports, the team of Viruman, along with the two actors are scheduled to kick-off their first schedule of shoot in Theni.

According to an ETimes report, the team is getting geared up to travel to the picturesque town of Theni, which is situated near Madurai. The upcoming rural drama is touted to be set in the backdrop of southern Tamil Nadu. Viruman is also expected to be a family drama, highlighting the importance of family, love and relationships. The movie marks the second collaboration of Karthi and director Muthiah. It also features Rajkiran, Prakash Raj, Soori and RK Suresh among others in crucial roles.

This Tamil film will mark the debut of Adithi Shankar in the film industry. Talking about her character, she is touted to play a bold and caring village belle, named Thenmozhi who captures the heart of Karthi’s character in the movie. The Kollywood debutant is currently grabbing eyeballs and appreciation, especially from the other cast members.

The film is produced by Suriya and Jyotika under the banners of 2D Entertainment. Jyotika, in an interview with Kumudham, said that Adithi has been working hard to do justice to the character and has been undergoing training. Jyotika’s words seem promising. Now, let’s see what the debutant has in store for us.
