The audio launch of Vishal-starrer Rathnam, which is helmed by director Hari, was held recently. At the event, the director, whose previous works include Singam and Saamy, said that he always wanted to make a complete action flick.

“Although Suriya-starrer Singam and Vikram-starrer Saamy had emotional elements, Rathnam will be an out-and-out action film with a lot of violent scenes. It will definitely entertain the audience,” the director asserted. Hari also added that he was able to bring back ‘Thaamirabharani Vishal’ in the film, which will be released on April 26.

For the unversed, Vishal had previously collaborated with the Tamil director in films such as Poojai and Thaamirabharani.

More about Rathnam

The upcoming actioner is a bilingual film, which has been shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. As seen from the promo teaser, the film is set to be a high-octane action film packed with Hari’s typical masala elements and will be a treat for fans who have been awaiting the actor-director duo’s collaboration once again on the big screens.

Vishal’s daring avatar in Rathnam

The title promo of the film, that was released earlier, featured Vishal in the role of a ruthless village man who is seen beheading a villain. At first glance, the film seems like a classic Hari film, as it is loaded with action and violence. However, the movie hints at some surprises, and we can’t wait to see what the actor-director has in store for action lovers.
