Vishnu Memorial: Shiva Rajkumar thanks govt. and fans & family of Dr. Vishnuvardhan for the gesture

Legendary actor Vishnuvardhan's memorial was finally inaugurated in Mysuru on January 29th. The special event, which has been in the making for over 13 years, saw fans from all corners of Karnataka flocking the memorial site with the late actor's ardent fans carrying posters, framed photographs, flags, etc. that carried his beaming face. Fans, reportedly, first paid respects to Vishnuvardhan's samadhi at Bengaluru's Abhiman Studio before making their way to the inauguration.

In the same vein, the police authorities, too, are said to have deployed more than 500 personnel to ensure security at the site, considering many noteworthy politicians too attended the event. Along with Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai, who inaugurated the memorial in Mysuru, MLA GT Deve Gowda, former minister Ram Das and MP Pratap Sinha, too, took the stage.

Vishnuvardhan's wife and fellow actor Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, too, was present at the event along with her daughter Keerthi Vishnuvardhan & son-in-law Anirudh Jatkar.

Following the inauguration, Sandalwood's Hattrick Hero Shiva Rajkumar took to social media to post an endearing note about the special gesture and what it means to the Kannada film fraternity, especially to the impeccable legacy of Dr. Vishnuvardhan. After thanking the government and fans & family of the late superstar, Shiva Rajkumar would go on to talk about how the Rajkumar family and Vishnuvardhan shared a great camaraderie.
