Vishnu Priya out on OTT: Where to stream Shreyas K Manju-Priya Prakash Varrier’s 90s romantic drama

When the cast of Vishnu Priya was announced, heroine Priya Prakash Varrier was the talk of town for her viral wink in her debut film, Oru Adaar Love. The first tr ailer came out in early February of 2021, but for reasons best known to the film team, Vishnu Priya made it theatres a good 4 years later only, by which time, audiences here had long forgotten Priya and that wink. For leading man Shreyas K Manju, the son of veteran producer K Manju, the film, which was to be his second after Paddehuli, came only after he delivered another box office failure in the form of Raana. 

Vishnu Priya on Amazon Prime Video

The film eventually hit theatres on February 21, 2025, and like most of the Kannada films that released this year, it barely made an impression. However, unlike most of the 70-odd films that came out in the first 3 months of the year, Vishnu Priya has managed a digital partner and is now available for streaming. As of April 11, 2025, Vishnu Priya is available on Amazon Prime Video; making it only the 8th film of the year that can be streamed, six of which are on Prime Video.

In 2025, Prime Video picked Choo Mantar, Nodidavaru Enantare, #ParuParvathy, Forest, Royal and Vishnu Priya on pay-per-view deals, meaning that any recovery is entirely dependent on the streaming minutes they manage. More than 60 films from only the first 3months of the year have not made it to streaming yet, joining a long list of titles from the last few years that have not made it either.

Meanwhile, Vishnu Priya is a romantic drama set in the 90s, a love triangle between Vishnu (Shreyas), Priya (Priya) and Balu (Nihal Raj Gowda). Meant to be a messenger for Balu, Vishnu meets Priya, only to find that she’s got her heart set on him.
