Vishwak Sen: Nivetha Pethuraj’s suggestions were crucial for Das Ka Dhamki

Vishwak Sen’s second directorial, Das Ka Dhamki, an action entertainer is gearing up to hit screens today. Nivetha Pethuraj plays the female lead in the film. Ahead of its release, the actor-director interacted with the media on Tuesday. Here’s what he said about his magnum opus.

“Das Ka Dhamki is a special film; I’ve acted, directed and produced it and I went all out to pool in my resources for the project. I thank everyone who’ve stood by me through his journey. I liked Prasanna Bezawada’s story and felt it presented a scope for us to go lavish with its scale. Nivetha Pethuraj’s inputs helped us during the making. I’ll talk more about it after the release,” Vishwak Sen said.

“Nivetha says yes to a script only if she likes it and my confidence on the film grew after she gave a nod. My dad (Karate Raju, the producer) tolerated my tantrums during the making. It was necessary for us to produce it because of our belief in the material and the scale at which it could be made. I want to make quality films under this banner,” he added.

“It was a pleasure to work with the likes of Mahesh, Hyper Aadhi. Composer Leon James is very aware of the soundscape I wanted for the film. The background score is terrific. We took a lot of risks to make Das Ka Dhamki and we trust audiences will appreciate our efforts. I’m confident that it’ll change my life and double the box office earnings of Falaknuma Das,” the actor stated.

Talking about handling directorial duties, he mentioned, “As an actor, I don’t expect the film to revolve around me always. All characters are well-etched in the film. When you watch the second half, you’ll realise why I directed it.” He later thanked Jr NTR and Balakrishna for gracing the trailer launch event and the pre-release event.
