Vishwak Sen unveils the trailer of Dinesh Tej's Merise Merise; film to hit theatres on August 6

Dinesh Tej, Shweta Avasthi starrer Merise Merise is gearing up for a theatrical release in the coming week i.e. August 6. The romantic comedy is written and directed by first-time filmmaker Pawan Kumar K and bankrolled by Venkatesh Kothuri under Kothuri Entertainments LLP. PVR Pictures, the leading multiplex chain, is releasing the film across Telugu states. The film's theatrical trailer was unveiled by Falaknuma Das-actor Vishwak Sen earlier today.

Merise Merise is another boy-meets-girl story where the male protagonist (Dinesh Tej) is the wayward son of a rich entrepreneur while Vennela (played by Shweta) is an ambitious woman who aims to make a career out of fashion designing. The guy leaves no stone unturned to make Vennela fall for him and they get along well after initial friction. However, the youngster needs to confront several roadblocks to win the love of his life. Will the love story of two opposites have a happy ending?

The film has all the staple ingredients of a conventional rom-com, from situational humour to catchy music, aesthetic execution and an energetic lead pair. The male lead Dinesh Tej has previously acted in the hit film Hushaaru and was seen in the sci-fi thriller Playback earlier this year, both of which are streaming on aha. The lead actress Shweta, a multiple beauty pageant-winner, made her Telugu cinema debut with Malli Malli Chusa and also featured in a music video titled 'Kya Hua Tera Wada'.

Merise Merise also stars Sanjay Swaroop, Guri Raj, Bindu, Sandhya Janak, Mani, Sashank and Nanaji. Pelli Choopulu cinematographer Nagesh Banell has cranked the camera for the film which has music by Karthik Kodakandla.
